Online Namaste Care Workshop Opportunity.
What’s it all about?
A collaborative poem created by previous Online Namaste Care Workshop participants.
Namaste Care – what’s it all about?
It’s about eye contact.
It’s about connection.
It’s about having love in the room.
It’s about the person.
It’s about knowing what they like.
It’s about being seen.
It’s about being heard.
It’s about making a nice environment.
It’s about sensory experiences.
It’s about keeping the family with you on the journey.
It’s about living and dying - with dignity intact.
It’s about knowing wishes and preferences.
It’s about enjoying silence.
It’s about adapting to needs.
It’s about being in a group.
It’s about sometimes bringing the care to the person’s room.
It’s about continuing to love.
It’s about adapting the environment.
It’s about kindness and calmness.
It’s about helping everyone be ok.
It’s about describing what’s happening - right here and right now.
It’s about talking about what might come next.
It’s about honouring the spirit within.
It’s about knowing how people feel.
It’s about valuing strengths.
It’s about peacefulness.
It’s about love that continues till the very last breath.
It’s about usefulness.
It’s about intent.
It’s about giving and receiving experiences that none of us will forget.
